The first time we saw Jumbo at Keith Adams place at Crossfield Kelli and I new we needed to buy this bull. We purchased ½ interest and full possession off of Adams Red Angus. Jumbo's first set of calves at Adams Red Angus were truly impressive. They all exhibited the length and strong toplines that we hoped for with an average birth weight of only 85 lbs!
Jumbos females are turning out incredible. They are deep, well muscled, strong toplines, clean front ends and we anticipate the first daughters calving in the spring of 2008.
Jumbo's parents need no introduction his sire Red Ter-Ron Mambo 28K was the Red Roundup 2000 Champion Bull and is owned by Ter-Ron Farms and Jackson Cattle Company. Mambo has done a great job on building thick deep bulls and tremendous females he is a performance bull with a great muscle pattern building strong toplines and rear quarters. Red Brylor Brandy 11C is one of the most recognized cows in the breed as being the thickest cow many have ever seen. She has a long and successful production record for Ter-ron Farms and still holds the Flush Record at Red Roundup from 2001 for $13,000.
